The leather tapes used for leather goods such as handbag, suitcase, belt,

mesh knit, etc. are made of a number of short strips of leather jointed together

with sliced surface and reverse side alternately

This machine is used to skive the leather aslant to make the leather tapes.

Advantages

・Straight cutting edges can be obtained for both grain and base face of the material.

・This machine is designed as to reduce the stretching of the material to minimum ,

so exactly and smoothly sliced slant surfaces are obtained.

・Grinding for the knife is the same way with that of the conventional leather skiving machine.

・The slant length is adjustable up to 10 mm maximum and the skiving width up to 175 mm

maximum. After cutting the skived material aslant to a number of strips by a strap-cutting machine,

a long tape can be made by cementing on the slant face of them.
